Ethically Right and Morally wrong?

"Such an unethical way of learning ethics"
Thats what my sidey commented when I asked him for some ready-made answers to the case study to be disscussed in same class few minutes later.
I was (as usual) answer less (or should I say speechless), But my other class mate came to my rescue..."Its his choice, professors are not ethically obliged to force him to learn, if he doesn't want to......"
Prof entered the class...started teaching but there discussion didn't stop (Now was this ethically correct?)
With so many viewpoints flying about I could not help but not understand any of them, hence another one of my class was wasted...(That is Rs 7000/Hour)
All that said and done....(but not underestood) I turn the pages of the newspaper and I wonder if it is ethically correct, for an unemployed man to kill himself when no one loves him.

Here are some excerpts from my ethics class (which I somehow still registered):
Situation 1. Suppose Bill is a healthy man without family or loved ones. Would it be ok painlessly to kill him if his organs would save five people, one of whom needs a heart, another a kidney, and so on? If not, why not?

Situation 2. You and six others are kidnapped, and the kidnapper somehow persuades you that if you shoot dead one of the other hostages, he will set the remaining five free, whereas if you do not, he will shoot all six. (Either way, he'll release you.)

Situation 3. You're in the cab of a runaway tram and see five people tied to the track ahead. You have the option of sending the tram on to the track forking off to the left, on which only one person is tied. Surely you should send the tram left, killing one to save five.

But then why not kill Bill?
Since I fancy myself to be a thinking existence (who still retains some of his mind)...I have thought out a possible explanation for the above three situations. But since I also fancy myself a supporter of free will (and thinking) my ethics does not allow me to publish my thoughts and hence restrict your own thoughts. But I still can't control my desire to write my mind in this post...so here I come on to compromise (and life is all about compromises). A week from now I will write my own thoughts in the blog, which again would not make much of a difference since no one reads this blog but I am a manager.
